Sunday afternoon (3/22) in the South Bowl & 3 Tree Run: nice and Kodiak light 4-6" of powder. Almost no wind and snow was falling steadily. Only negative was the flat light in the upper portion South Bowl. The powder was sweet and the skiing fast. Only at the last pitch on 3-Tree did it get rough so that you had to slow down. However, BEWARE the slide potential as the snow continues to accumulate. Under the powder is an ice layer--a true ice layer. As I skied the roll-over at the top of the wall flanking the South Bowl, it took only a single cut to start a sluff slide that ran 200 feet. The powder wasn't cohessive so there was no slab. But, as it is warming up and continuing to snow, anticipate a slab with likely little bonding to the ice layer. I would stay away only on low angle slopes until it stops snowing and the snow subsides. Be careful.

With this wet, large volume snowfall, avalanche potential is going to be pretty high for a while - the wet snow will set up pretty good, but how well it adheres to the ice is anybody's guess. I'd give it at least 24 hours after the snow stops before skiing the steep and deep.
