This is the trail for those who eschew switchbacks. I followed the trail until it faded out by the tree of flags, then headed up to the first pass and up to the bump between the first two sisters, continuing on to the next pass and circling back to the tree of flags and down. I was in the clouds for most of the day with some occasional lifts allowing views across the valley to reservoir ridge and Monashka Mtn. The trail is in good shape: dry and not too brushy. As I did not see any bears, I was unable to replicate the experience of the Bear Whisperer, J. Sikes.
