We took a little hike up Pyramid today. The trail has a slippery bed of ice on it with about 1-2" of snow over that until you get up above the spruce knob, so you may want some decent traction devices or walk in the snow/grass next to the trail. Above the knob it is snowy and traction is ok with some rime ice over snow in places. No snowshoes needed though a few drifts were mid-shin deep so gaiters don't hurt. Beautiful day up there with dramatic clouds and very little wind. Not a lot of base for skiing, but not bare earth either.
