I hiked out the coast and back through the forest; the trail was muddy in lower areas and there was standing water on some portions of the trail - so wear your rubber boots. Very little debris on trail causes me to wonder if someone like the boy scouts have done a little trail cleaning.
No deer, no bears, no beavers.
There is a rumor that Lesnoi plans to log this area -
if you know a Lesnoi shareholder, encourage them to support selling it to the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustees who are willing to purchase it using small parcel habitat preservation funds. This area is superb marbled murrelet habitat.
