Floated Sargent Creek today from the end of Sargent Creek Road to the highway bridge in my Alpacka packraft. The float would have been better with a few more inches of water as I would hit bottom on many of the shallower gravel bars. The water level was never low enough, however that I had to get out of my boat and walk. The river is free of debris for the most part. There is one down tree that I was able to float over during the last 3/4 of the creek and a few down trees that lined the shore but were easily avoidable. The only time I had to get out of the boat was for a downed tree that came up just as the highway became visible. A few small rapids and wave trains made the float fun but Ill be waiting for higher water to do it again.
Also ran the Buskin on Thursday. No obstacles, mellow and water high enough not to hit bottom but not high enough to make anything exciting.
