This past week I flew to Port Williams and then spent the next 4 days hiking and packrafting down the west side of Afognak, ending up in Anton Larsen Bay. It was a lovely trip with little elevation gain and some really excellent elk trails on the valley floors. There was definitely some devil's club to deal with, but for the most part it was a pretty easy and pleasant trip. The one caveat is that if you encounter much wind, a few of the packrafting sections in the bays could be challenging. See it here: Hiking and Packrafting Across Afognak IslandMap of my route:
