Steve, Sharon, Gregg, Lisa, Doug, and I just hiked back to Bells Flats from Terror Lake. We flew in with Andrew Air on a Beaver, which came out to $106 per person, so really cheap. :^) On the first day we followed the ridge running north-south that is just west of Crown, then descended the Widgeon Bowl, and then climbed over the 'summit' of Crown before camping at the lake in the saddle just east of the mountain. On the second day we went over the 3 high ridges separating Crown from Center Mountain, and then hiked through the alpine in front of the mountains behind Bells Flats before following the Sargent Creek headwaters out. It's a 27 mile trip, and very doable in 3 days. We saw lots of critters, and had the normal range of Kodiak weather. Take a peek : Terror -> Crown -> Town on Vimeo
