Today I went kayaking with Jeremy, Brent and Mike. The water was high but not too high. It seems to have come down quite a bit since yesterday. We ran Sargent creek first. On the lower section there are some sweepers you need to watch out for. We then did Virginia Creek. The water was a little low but still great. Patrick Mike on the first drop in Virginia Creek The start on Sargent Creek I did not take any pictures on the gnarlier sections!

How funny. We (Adelia, John S, Brooks and I) also paddled Virginia Creek today. We were out there between 1 and about 3 PM. It was pretty decent, but a bit of a butt scrape. Another 6" or a foot of water would have been great. No pics, but I did make a quick video! I recommend following the link and watching it on vimeo.com, or you can see it in the small embedded player below:

Brook's truck was there when we ran it - you guys were clearly down at the beach! Today we plan on running the 'Green Grotto'. Patrick

1/26 The Green Grotto was high and gnarly. Beware there are 2 trees down in the lower section that need to be removed. Right now it is not very safe. Unlike Virginia Creek there is a lot of water volume in the Green Grotto, and it is hard to recover from a mistake. Also parts are in a deep canyon where it is difficult to bail. Right now it is continuous class 4. Patrick
