Today I skiied Pyramid. Breakable crust down low and packed powder up high. The skiing got progressively better the further up you went and the tops of the north and south bowls is quite good. I skiied the south bowl and three tree run.
The three tree run was awful. 4 skiiers had a ball yesterday - it must have been perfect! They lapped the south bowl and ripped the three tree run. But today their ruts are frozen, and it is a bumpy mess. Also the road up is hairy. Two ruts with a high center of snow. No pull outs. You just pray you don't meet someone coming the other way.
Today I wish I'd stuck with the classic cross country skiing at the Buskin!
Finally - I was surprised how aenemic the snowpack is up above 1500 feet.

Patrick, that was Lisa and I followed by S & S on Tues. Lisa was enthused about the snow and wanted to go up on Wednesday, but I counseled against it as I thought there might be large frozen snow balls and ruts on the 3-tree.
