I had a good skate ski across the lake up to the golf course and then up the river to the near the canyon where the cottonwood tree is over the trail. It got soft at that point so I turned around. With the new wet snow conditions are a little slow. I sunk in about 3/4 of inch but crust seems solid - particularly on the lake. But if I was to do it again I'd go classic. Snowing pretty hard around 2PM then the sun came out at 2:30.
Also a snowmobiler groomed the track for a bit! Never seen one of those make it to the Buskin river before, but it did groom the track pretty good for skate skiing!
