We started out at sunrise from Mission Bay with a plan to make it to Java Flats at the end of Women's Bay for a pickup by lunchtime. The primary goal of this trip was to stop by some significant marine debris that Island Trails Network is trying to clean up in Women's Bay: www.facebook.com/islandtrails Starting out in the morning with flat calm waters The next stop was Puffin Island where Andy and Maya made Bob and I look bad because they spent there time cleaning up debris while Bob and I took pictures of them. Then we were off to the area in Women's Bay where a derelict dock is spewing foam debris into the Bay Everyone got into the spirit of cleaning up We could only make a small dent given the size of the problem. Andy was doing double duty picking up debris and spreading the word about the problem. After filling a few bags we headed off to Java Flats for some welcome grub and coffee to warm up. This is Maya and Andy on their way to Bruhn Pt. where Betsy and Heather were there to greet us. If you are interested in this project, check out the ITN facebook at: www.facebook.com/islandtrails
