I drove out to the end of the road to either ski or snowshoe. Hard, crusty snow dictated a snowshoe through the woods to the lake on the way to Neva Cove. There's enough snow that warmer air temps would allow some great touring through the woods. Current conditions could be ski toured if you used skins. From the reservoir gate, it's one lane and not much parking at the Termination Point parking lot.

Actually, I wasn't on the trail to Neva Cove. I was on the old ATV trail that leads to "Mama Bear Cove"; it's the trail that some folks use to access Monashka Mountain by heading up from the lake I snowshoed to. With some creative route-finding you can connect from this trail to Termination Point via Penenga Bay and hike back to the parking lot on the TP trail.
