Classic skiing at Abercrombie is excellent today for classic. Plenty of snow to ski the trails in the woods; there's a great track on the road, and there's track on the lake as well. I skied the beach! I've seen a lot of deer in the park in recent days, so please leave the dogs at home.

After 2 hours of shoveling out the driveway and house I was too whacked to go skiing! I just walked to Abercrombie with the dogs (I had a leash in case of deer) and walked in your tracks! Felt bad about by the time I got to the top of the hill, and so I turned around and went home. Very few hikers at all have ventured into Abercrombie and the snow seems deep under the trees. Too bad my back is too torqued to ski. I need some beer and vitamin I. .... ... Patrick

Thanks for the tip Mr. Squishy. I would not of thought to ski at Abercrombie. We had a great ski down the road and around the lake and enjoyed your tracks. And we left our dogs at home.

mforbes, do we know that it is Mr. Squishy? Might it be Mrs. Quishy instead.

When this post popped up to the top I opened it and thought you went skiing there today! I was amazed that you thought it good skiing when I know the hiking is pretty icy. I thought - 'good lord this guy is hard core'. Then I saw that you were talking about conditions on the 24rth. Must be mrs 'squishy'. Patrick
