EDIT BY ADMIN: I just want to point out that this thread is from 2012. Not 2017.
Drove to the golf course club house this morning about 9am and the road was drifted over but passable. Had a great ski up the buskin to the waterfall with soft snow and almost no wind. Returned to the truck to find the wind was blowing a lot harder outside of the trees and the road had drifted over more. Blasted my way about a hundred yards before getting stuck. Also found someone had plowed a huge snow pile in the middle of the road blocking traffic and there were 2 other vehicles stuck. We all got shovels and started digging out the cars and the snow pile that stood between us and the rest of the road. Took about 2 hours of of shoveling and a call to USCG police to get everyone out. I would avoid going past the antenna field until the wind stops. These were high clearance 4x4 vehicles with chains on all tires that got stuck.

I don't mind the typical misspellings that one comes across in these postings, but I'm sensitive to the misspelling of of Anton Larsen Road. I often thought of fixing the sign with an adhesive "e" but I guess it's too late now that I'm no longer on the rock...or maybe there's a high school mercenary who I can hire for this mission.
Hope you guys end up having a great snow year! Take care.

Lol. Well, if it gives you any peace going forward in life, I fixed the spelling in the thread header. :^)
I hope you have a great winter too, wherever you now find yourself...
