I skied across the lake to the mouth and up the river quite a ways until I broke through some ice and fell in up to my knees (happy now, Patrick?). It was snowing and conditions were excellent with soft, silky snow under my skis. Gregg and Patrick were ahead of me, so it was great to have Gregg packing down the powder in the parallel tracks. After I went swimming, I doubled back to where Gregg headed up out of the canyon and followed his and Patrick's tracks through the meadow/woods loop back to the river, down to the mouth and back across the lake. No wind on the lake and low visibility made for a magical return. I just heard 10-20 inches expected by Tuesday morning - let it snow!!
