The spousal unit and I hiked the road from the church to the top and back. Cleats required - mostly hard pack snow, some ice, some drifts in leeward areas. Extremely windy at the top! One could pack her skis up and have a speedy descent on the road.
Off road looked to be like Pyramid - hard & crusty with some pockets of powder.
