Brennan and I skied Old Womens Mountain I’m the Erskine ridgeline on 1/15/22. Skied the East face from the summit (el. 2582ft). Skinned from Burma rd in the from the fairgrounds. Burma rd was filled in well. Icy in 2 places but fairly easy skin. Breakable crust once we started gaining elevation which helped on the tour up. Once in the East bowl of Erskine, the snow was sugary on a solid base. The summit was thin of snow and a little firm. Our first 4 turns were made carefully but once on the apron, we had a blast. Great quality of snow. One of the best runs I’ve had this year. Temperature felt warm. Forecasted to be 30-31degrees. The face we skied had early sunlight on it and at that altitude, the surrounding ridge lines appeared to all have new snow. Trip mileage was 7.8 miles and 3,000ft elevation change total. Great tour and I’ll be back up again. -Gibbs Ridge of Erskine looking just north of east: The run down Erskine Bowl: A wet- or storm-slab (or combo) from days prior, looking to the west:

Has anyone been known to ski the back side of Erskine? This is the view out my kitchen window from the Coast Guard base and I can't help but notice that it looks really fun. photos.app.goo.gl/CgWiKvirezhhJnHV9
