Hey guys,
Does anyone have experience with hiking across the Sacramento River between Chiniak and Pasagshak? Is it best to hit certain parts at low tide? Am interesting in doing this route soon, so I wanted to check here first before scouting it out. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I've been on the beach between the Burton Ranch and the Sacramento River a few times on fatbikes. Because we wanted to ride the beach the whole way we always used big minus tides in the spring as it allowed us to stay on our bikes. There was one rocky beach section just south of the river mouth where we had to carry the bikes, but we never had to leave the shoreline. At higher stages of the tide you would just need to hike up over 1 or 2 small headlands. This would be no big deal as there are a lot of buffalo trails to follow. This thread is full of pics of that section of coast from Narrow Cape to the Sac R. I don't have any experience from Chiniak down to the Sacramento. I have gotten mixed feedback on whether there is a trail or not. Hopefully someone else can weigh in.

There is an ATV trail from Sequel Point to the Sacramento River - it goes inland quite a bit near the Sacramento River mouth. I recently did some hiking on Slope Peak (pictured with snow in Philip's photo above), and it was excellent hiking and good access from end of road at sequel Point. I think I'd prefer the mountain to the ATV trail! Patrick
