Hello Kodiak Skiers,
I'll be in Kodiak next week and am thinking about bringing skis. Can anyone advise as to conditions at places that are road accessible?
Looking at other posts on this board, it seems Terror Lake is the place to go (and has great looking terrain). Is the road out to the lake open? If not, I suppose the only option is float plane charter? Any operators to contact?
If anyone would like to trade info for a beer or two on 6/13, I'd be happy to buy.
Thanks!

There is still snow on the road system if you are willing to hike for it. Sharatin and Center Mountain are options. Terror lake is a LOOOONG way from town but currently thawed so you could fly there. The Sentinel satellite images don't show many recent clear days, but hopefully soon we will get some with our current clear weather so that you can look at snow extent around here. Play around here to find more current images. If you can't figure out the navigation, let me know. Link -> Sentinel Hub Satellite

Thanks. And I don't mind hiking for it. I'll look into Sharatin and Center Mountain.
