Chris B., Michael G. and I Skied the North Bowl of Pyramid on Sunday, it was carvable on a hard base, then we traversed right to ski over to the pass to Bear mountain. The North side of Pyramid to Bear Mt. is a mix of wind sculpted wind slab and ruttled ice, there was some softer snow on the east facing protected ridge but you have to pick your route as the wind has not left much to ski. The northeast ridge down Bear to the base of Easter Sunday bowl was also wind blown so we decided to ski pack to Pyramid. We were hoping for some softer snow on the South facing slopes on the ski back. The South Bowl and Three Tree run was the best skiing of the tour.
